Sting's Tattoo Studio
I love Celtic Knots anyway. This just seemed like the thing to do...
He looks friendly, but I don't want to meet him in a dark alley with or without someone's head already in his hand!
Although I guess I found my calling in detail and realism, I sure found the bold, traditional style to be fun. Some of the young know-it-alls find out quickly that it's not as easy as it looks.
This was just plain fun to put together and do. I wish I had arms like that!
In Junior High I started learning to tool leather. I made this purse for my Mother (RIP) and she secretly entered it at the State Fair!!! Peggy Sucher did a great job of writing the biography for my last magazine feature and commented on my "art on dead skin" description of moving on to doing tattoos!
böhse onkelz "es ist so weit" album cover (check the other versions I've posted). One of the true German rock bands. They had some controversy that was milked by the neo-nazis and press. Still, I've got all their albums and seen them several times live. The best concert was their 4-gig "tour" of secret club dates under the name "los tioz." I have my fine friend, Oliver Döscher to thank for managing to get us tickets!!!
This little lady started out "small" and when she started getting into H.R. Giger's work, she turned me loose with her ideas. I also did most of her sleeve work including repairs of old stuff. The Indian/Eagle on the right is a cover-up of a tribal piece! Thanks for the photos, Jana!!!
Another old piece, wish I had a better photo. But, the good news is I have so many things I still need to sort, most need to be scanned since I only got a digital camera a couple years ago...
