Opia Cosmetic Tattoo
If you're considering permanent makeup, please take a look at this article by a very highly respected industry professional. Shauna highlights a number of areas of concern with regards to the recent rise in popularity of microblading. She explains how a complete lack of regulation of cosmetic tattooing in Canada is producing too many teachers who shouldn't be teaching, and in turn churning out under-educated technicians who immediately go to work on unsuspecting clients. Please do your research and make sure your technician is thoroughly and properly trained. A weekend course is NOT enough! Successful coverup of an old eyebrow tattoo by another tech. You'd never spot the old work under the new brows. ‼️This client has VERY active facial muscles, particularly on her right brow, which pulls much higher than the left whenever the muscles are flexed. This is a fairly common occurrence, but your tech must know how to work with this type of client. Tricky to design and a little difficult to photograph, but when all is said and done and the facial muscles are relaxed, the brows are even and very well suited for this lovely client ☺️

Bidding has begun for Lisa's online auction to raise money for Huntington's Disease! If you or someone you know would like the chance to get some new brows AND donate to charity at the same time, head over to the event page on Facebook, RSVP as 'going' and get your bid on! More items will be added throughout May, so keep an eye out
Hi everyone! My friend Lisa is hosting an online auction for a great cause that is very dear to her heart. Huntington's Disease is a genetic, degenerative brain disorder that causes progressive death of brain cells, often resulting in movement, cognitive, and emotional disorders. It is truly a terrible disease, and one that most people are unfamiliar with. I have decided to donate my services as an item for the auction in the hopes that we can help raise even more money for research. 100% of the proceeds from the winning bid will go directly to the Huntington Society of Canada and the winning bidder will also receive a charitable donation tax receipt. Bidding is open to EVERYONE for all of the auction items! All you have to do is visit the event page below, and RSVP as "going" in order to join the event page. The auction opens on May 1st and closes on May 28th. Once all of the items are posted in the event, you can place your bids by finding the item(s) you like and commenting on them with your bid amount. Please note that Lisa is based in Weyburn, SK, but she will make arrangements to ship the prizes to any out of town winners. I have decided to make my item transferable in order to encourage more bidding. If you have a friend or family member who would really like to get their eyebrows done, you can bid on the item and win it for that special person. Visit the event page to learn more about Huntington's Disease and to read Lisa's story, and remember to RSVP so you can get into some bidding wars for a great cause!
