Texas Tattoos Presents James Pence

Start: Aug. 30, 2015, midnight

End: Aug. 30, 2015, 1 a.m.

Event at Texas Tattoos And Art Gallery

Join us for the next presentation in the 2015 concert series. This is 100% different than any thing we've ever hosted before, the art that lives and leaps from the canvas right before your eyes, with an amazing and inspirational message. James H. (Jim) Pence is a man of many talents. He’s a performance chalk artist, singer, speaker, published author, ghostwriter & collaborator, but he prefers to be known simply as a follower of Jesus Christ and a storyteller.

Chalk Artist

Jim has been doing performance chalk artistry (sometimes called “chalk art” or “chalk talk”) for thirty-seven years. He started drawing in 1978 when he was a youth pastor in Lake Charles, Louisiana. In 1986, he began studying under the dean of chalk artists, Rev. Ding Teuling. Jim attended Ding’s chalk art workshops for eight consecutive years. Jim has drawn across the U.S. in venues as large as the Anaheim Convention Center and as small as someone’s living room. He has shared his performance art with groups ranging from Zig Ziglar’s Born to Win seminar to Kiwanis Clubs, churches, conferences, camps, and even prisons. Jim’s strong vocals and storytelling ability round out his programs.
