“Schönheit” Opening Reception

Spirit Gallery Tattoo– New London’s tattoo studio and art gallery – presents “Schönheit,” a collection of modern pinup paintings by the artist Dee Whitcomb. The show will open on Saturday, April 7, with an artist’s reception from 6-8 p.m. at Spirit Gallery Tattoo, 207 Bank Street, New London, Conn.

Schönheit is the German word meaning beauty. Beauty comes in all shapes, sizes, colors and is only truly known in the eyes of the beholder. There is beauty in every woman and like a diamond it needs only to be polished. This collection was painted over several years in a small village on the outskirts of Frankfurt, Germany and will make its American debut.

“Schönheit” will hang until May 26, 2012. Viewing hours are 12- 8 p.m. Tuesday – Saturday.
