Think your world is the same as everyone else’s? Get a different perspective at this exhibit of photography from U.P. artists.

The show is juried by Chris Winters, staff photographer at Discovery World at Pier Wisconsin Museum in Milwaukee. He is known to area residents for his exhibit in the Powers Gallery in 2009, “Secret World: Arts and Adventure on Americas Inland Seas". That show featured Great Lakes photos and bios of figures like T.D. Vinette.

Prizes will be awarded by Winters at the free Meet the Artists reception on Thursday, August 30, from 7 to 9 p.m. Four prizes will be given: a $200 first prize, a second prize of $150, a third prize of $75, and an honorable mention award of a scholarship to Winters’ Post Production Techniques workshop, set for August 31 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (To register: see the class list and click on Post Production Techniques, call us at 786-3833 or come on in to the Arts Center.)
