KATE PEARSON is a POP FOLK ARTIST. Kate created the first art car in Bisbee, in 1990 and has created 11 different themed cars. She has had shows across the USA, some highlights include Tucson Museum of Art’s Biennial; American Visionary Art Museum Baltimore, MD; Santa Fe Folk Art Museum New Mexico; and Somar Gallery San Francisco, CA. She is in two documentaries DRIVING THE DREAM and AUTOMORPHOSIS by Harrod Blank. Her art is represented in ARTIST’s INTERIORS by Laurie Dickson; ART CARS The Cars, the Artists, the Obsession, the Craft by Harrod Blank; MOSAICS by Kaffe Fassett; PANAMERICANA by Peter Gebhard; and in a 9th grade Social Studies book as an American Contemporary Artist. Magazine highlights are JUXTAPOZ, RAW VISION, Arizona Highways, & German Cosmopolitan. This show will feature circular drawings fused into melamine, and matted prints. It will be up for the month of February.
