The Black Hen Studio will be exhibiting recent work by Kate Cargile for the months of March, April and May.
Kate Cargile is a middle school art teacher highly interested in literature, history and visual culture studies. These aspects of life shape and inspire her artwork. Kate works in a variety of media includng painting, printmaking, applique printing and paper mache sculpture.
Kate's recent work is richly textured, weaving suggested narrative with the beautiful intricate patterns of quilt fabrics. This is a beautiful exhibit, saturated with color and invocative of memory, myth and imagination.
