Help Us Take A Stand: Benefit for Stand For The Silent

Start: Oct. 5, 2012, 5 p.m.

End: Oct. 6, 2012, 5 a.m.

Event at Body Mods by Ron Rust - Voodoo Tattoo

We are going to be doing a 36 hour Tattoo Marathon at Voodoo Tattoo to raise money for the local foundation Stand For The Silent.

Stand for the Silent was started in 2010 by a group students from the Oklahoma State University- Oklahoma City, Upward Bound Chapter after they heard the story of Kirk and Laura Smalley’s son, Ty Field-Smalley. At eleven years-old, Ty took his own life after being suspended from school for retaliating against a bully that had been bullying him for over two years.

Stand for the Silent exists as a platform to allow Kirk and Laura to share their story and offer education and tools that will prevent their tragedy from happening to another child and family. Kirk and Laura’s mission is to continue to change kids’ lives and bring awareness to bullying and the real devastation it causes.

October is Bully Awareness month. We will be having a raffle with some great prizes to be won. Including some kick ass gifts from our friends at Texas Hippie Coalition! (Thanks John) Also we have lots of great gift certificates from local businesses! And we will have some very SPECIAL guests!!

So come on out grab some ink! We will be doing $50 and $100 tattoos the entire 36 hours! A portion of the proceeds from the ink we sling will be going to Stand for the Silent. Gonna have food and fun for everyone. If you don't want to get tattooed come on out and show your support!
