A couple years ago as many of you may already be aware tattooing was deliberately placed into an industrial zone which hosts environments that are not suitable for tattooing. Tattooing is a world recognized art form that is best provided in an office or studio with plenty of natural lighting and only requires about 400 sqft for a one person studio. This is the exact opposite of what you will find in the c3 zone. We are proposing an amendment to move tattooing back into the RC zone (residential-commercial) where offices and studios reside. This is the same or directly compatible zoning that Ft Walton beach, Jacksonville, Orlando, and other major or local Florida cities currently have for tattooing.

This is the time for us as local business owners to stand together to make a change! It affects us all. I am reaching out to you other tattoo businesses and imploring you to see how this also touches your own business. This change was made and those within the city limits are currently under a conditional stay that the city can decide to revoke at any time, for almost any reason. If you need to change your business location or expand your business, you can no longer do so. If you chose to transfer ownership from single owner to another, they have the right to deny you your license because it is considered a "new business".

We support all local professional tattooers and believe this is not that time for petty squabbles, but for unity in a common cause. This issue is not about our studio, but the well being and future of all studios, their artists, and their families.
