World's Greatest Tattoo Art Festival Returns January 27-29th Pasadena, CA


Golden State Tattoo Expo presented by Inked and hosted by Nikko Hurtado and Carlos Torres, will take place at the Pasadena Convention Center. Meet invited guest tattoo artists, vendors; and experience music, contests, entertainment and art gallery.


Special Guests
Paul Booth mastermind behind Last Rites. He is the owner of Last Rites Tattoo and Last Rites Gallery.


Stefano Alcantara is self taught in the art of tattooing. In terms of tattooing, the human skin is a unique canvas that allows him to create a permanent mark in someones life.


Norm turned his love of urban culture into fine art. He manages his time between Hawaii and Los Angeles.


Big Sleeps is one of the cultures most respected artists. His book “Neighborhood Offerings” has even been picked up at the Getty Research institute.


Contests
Friday competitions include best color portrait, best sleeve (arm or leg), best chest or back piece, best black & grey portrait, and best of the day contest (started and completed day of the contest).


Saturday competitions include best small color, best large color, best small black and grey, best large black and grey, and best of day (started and completed day of contest)


Sunday competitions include best traditional, best coverup, best original, and best of day (started and completed day of the contest).

Participating vendors are, World Famous Tattoo Supply, Hustle Butter Deluxe, Metal Mafia, Famous Stars and Straps, Steadfast Brand, Hush, Waterloo, Ink Cheyenne, World, Fusion Ink, Radiant, Kuro Sumi, Blacksmith Body Jewelry, Workhorse Irons, Gladis Alejandre, Derma Numb, World of Pencils, Sullen Art Collective, Bearded Lady Vintage, Bishop Rotary, Cam Supply Inc, Tatu Derm, and Fallen King Irons.


Parking
Parking is available at the Pasadena Convention Center for $12 per day for up to 16 hours or $18 per day for in and out privileges. The subterranean parking structure is located under the convention center and is shared with the Sheraton Pasadena. There are two entrances to the parking structure, (1) on Euclid Avenue between Green Street and Cordova Street, and (2) on Marengo Avenue between Green Street and Cordova Street. View Map


Metro Gold Line
The Metro Gold Line is a light rail train system that runs from Downtown Los Angeles to Pasadena. There are two train station within walking distance, (1) Del Mar Station is three blocks away, it takes about ten minutes to walk to the Pasadena Convention Center and there is a small hill. Memorial Park Station is four blocks away, it takes about eight minutes to walk to Live on Green and there are no hills on this route. Cost is $1.75 per person each way, students k-12 pay $1 each way.
